“Champions of Industry”, with host Jimmy Johnson, producing new segments on investing with Mutual Funds
While doom and gloom may dominate a lot of the reporting on investing and our collective economic future in general, many are thriving with mutual funds. Defined as a collective investment vehicle which is regulated and sold to the general public, the basic idea is simple: you buy into a mutual fund and professionals put that money towards investments that they hope will produce strong returns for their customers.
Some have criticized mutual funds for reducing the individual investor’s returns through transaction fees and so on, while many who invest through mutual fund companies gladly sacrifice this percentage of their earnings for the convenience and reduced risk compared to investing on your own.
